  1. Nice, substantial book. Dust cover over hardcover binding. Contains larger photos of desert landscapes, antelope canyon, and sand dunes. Also some beautiful (smaller) shots of trees, waterfalls, and autumn foliage (from parts of AZ I am unfamiliar with!). We bought this for a family as a keepsake coffee table book, and especially for the price, we think it’s a decent purchase.

Four star instead of five star review due to the large amount of print. While I am not doubting that the written material is good, we purchased this for the photos, not the stories. Also, there weren’t very many double-page spreads, or even full-page photos, and it was disappointing that some of the most beautiful photos were only the size of half a page or smaller. Also, we didn’t see any sunset pictures! Too bad–AZ truly has some of the best.

  2. This book was somewhat disappointing. There is a ton of text and not many pictures. As an Arizona native I would expect our beauty to be captured much better! Also, Arizona Highways is becoming too commercialized.

  3. What a nice book. The photos are so well done. I never like it when they try to get fancy with the photography, using filters to get weird unnatural colors. These are very nice and were taken from around the state, so theres variety. Waterfalls, anasazi ruins, lakes, etc. Not high gloss photos, which is how i like it.
This would make a nice gift.

  4. I bought this book used in very good condition and it arrived in as new condition including the dust jacket with the pictures on the pages in perfect condition. There are over 80 color prints in the book and as pretty as can be.The text moves right along and is very interesting as well.I feel anyone buying this book will love it as much as I do.Try it out the price is right on this book.I paid a total of 5 dollars for the book including shipping. What a deal.

  5. This is an excellent coffee table book that is just the right size in terms of footprint (10.5″ by 10.5″) and length (about 100 pages). Each photograph has been meticulously selected and the narrative portions are well written. The print quality is excellent, with my edition being published in Singapore. If you are looking for a succinct, high quality photo book that captures the natural beauty and geographic diversity of Arizona look no further.

  6. Oh, we just eat up these pages. I love the photographs in this book, and I assigned my youngest to explore the five senses through these images. He found photographs and wrote little personal ideas about how his five senses integrated with Arizona as presented in this book. He loved it — he’s into poetry and symbolism. These photographs will blow you away.
